I know life's a bummer baby, but that's got precious little to do with me

What tree is that?
I've got a post with Eastern Redbud coming up.
~
Magnolias make me happy.
Chick flicks aren't just for chicks any more.
Beat you by a month. And now it's back to our regularly scheduled rain until August.
if, read on, and that's slang for some illegal herb, isn't it.
duchess, still think we should have made magnolia angels.
susan, hell no. All manly men of manliness should love flowers, dammit.
demeur, don't forget the inevitable week or three of 90+.
Three? Ha! Like that'll happen here.
Awesome pictures but given the nature of how the pollen right now has my sinuses all out of whack all I can say is achoo, then blow my nose.
The pic of the chapel avec carpet of blooms is divine!
btw: looks more like what we call a tulip tree. our magnolias are evergreen, thick w/ heavy, rubbery leaves year round. no way to look up through them.
Demeur is right. I live in the same general area. I hate hot weather, but it hits 90 degrees so rarely, it's almost a special event.
More nice photos, but false advertising. This is a flick-worthy chick.
Demeur, don't feel alone. If we weren't getting bad weather 250 miles east of you, we wouldn't be getting any weather at all. Rain, sleet, snow, hail, high winds . . . rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat.
Graves, you swine!
Steel Magnolias my ass.
Rgds,
Tengrain
Love this series of pictures. I love the beautiful trees budding and flowering and hearing the birds sing! This chick approves!
demeur, okay, four.
BB, better ask our compatriot from the NW if you can borrow a hazmat suit.
jim, that one came out better than I hoped, but I think it's mostly due to being an angle more interesting than my usual fare.
Even at full bloom there are still gaps in ours. Do you happen to know what particular species you guys have?
tom, oh, you're only saying that because you all are on heroin and can't really tell.
SWA, bah, she's all yours. The ladies from Worm Ouroboros are more my speed.
tengrain, fine. Rusty and abandoned.
life, of course *you* would, hippie.
