THEKEYS OH THE KEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYS

Gun to temple, probably still my favorite flick.

What, art not a "substantive" enough post in the darkening shadow of The Most Important Election Of Your Lifetime At Least Until The Next One? Fine.

The State as Michael Myers. Discuss. I'm gonna go watch movies.

My favorite part is when Jamie Lee Curtis falls over the stair railing. I would have been out for a week but not her! She's up hobbling around 2 seconds later.
I'd have just let Jason have his way with me...

How about weirdest horror flick? I'd vote for.Orgy of the Dead. The music can't be beat either.

Totally agree, Randal. Pisses me off when they remake them. The first Friday 13th is a close second.

Crack open the beer, I coming round to watch a movie!!

Have a great Halloween weekend, bud.

sunshine, since it's for the sake of drama, I'm willing to overlook that bit, though it's not the fall into the abyss that bothers me. Look, you embodiment of primordial chaos, you natural, unstoppable force, you had a clear shot and the best you could do was slash her snazzy 70s shirt? Bah!

Sackhead Jason or hockey mask Jason?

susan, all hail Ed, a man whose films get viewed more than supposedly legit auteurs.

david, I don't mind a remake - not as if the original is going to vanish - but the remakes are rarely in the same league. Is part of that nostalgia? Probably, but it seems that a shade of atmosphere is sacrificed to add a bit more gratuitous gore.

No beer, only vino!

That final scene in the preview, where she's banging on the door -- all I could think of was:

"It's Dave, man. Open up, I think the cops saw me."

"Dave's not here."

Oh pshaw. Surely you're trying to beckon your loyal following, if only Freudian slip-wise, to this.

A sly play for the domestic front, Randal, but woefully apolitical.

I don't watch a whole lot of horror films, but there are horror films among my favorites.

The Exorcist is all-time. Of course, Ash and the Evil Dead series. As far as a "stinker" that's fun to watch, Prince of Darkness with Alice Cooper as a possessed bum and Victor "Egg Shen" Wong as the professor.

LBR, *gasp!* Please rectify this egregious blasphemy against all that is righteously brotherly immediately.

okjimm, oh hell, horror flicks are nowhere near as frightening as the silly season.

tom, "Loomis's not here, man."

SWA, oh, please. My wife uses chainsaws.

demeur, long live the Universal dead.

susan, so you don't watch CNN, MSNBC or Fox, then.

chef, a six-demon bag! Wait, wrong movie. Prince of Darkness is indeed a bit goofy, but endearingly so.
