The rest is noise

Sure, I could have put up a video of Hussein X's televised vae victis in sober dress, with pungent comment following, but wouldn't you rather read nothing* while listening to sweet something?

La démocratie en Irak!

*I realize pungent commentary by yours truly would certainly count as nothing, but I'm not that** self-deprecating.

**I'm kidding. I'm awful. But the office of pretzeldent is still a den of yokelry, said the broken clock.

I have come to the conclusion that not only is "the rest" noise, but that all of it is noise. From one hand clapping in Iraq to the sound a pumpkin makes when it is dropped from 1000 feet into Number One Pond.

What'ja expect a tickertape parade down Euclid Ave?

You realize that Bush never learned how to pull out until she slapped him real hard.

mrmacrum, this isn't noise, plus you should have an affinity for Monsieur Chausson as he was an avid bicyclist who died while pedaling.

cormac, ask and ye shall receive, tomorrow. Even if thou not asketh.

demeur, I want some of that government weapons contract cash, dammit.

Obama's words were all OK, until he exceeded noblesse oblige regarding his putrescent predecessor and went all the way to a nauseating display sucking up, IMO.

However, the president's delivery exhibited all the verve and passion one might expect if a jet-setting critic of haute cuisine at five-star restaurants were forced to evaluate a McDonald's Value Menu lunch.

I thought I was clicking on a fiery socialist Islamic speech by Hussein X, and all I got was this sappy violin music.

With all the crap he was handed when he took office and with the unrelenting attacks he and the family go through I half expect the guy to chuck the whole job and give it to Biden.

Not that I don't believe he has made big mistakes but he can't catch a break.

Gorgeous. It goes well with the Gorey.

Den of what?

The "rest" is, by definition, not noise. Weird.

You misunderstood or as usual I did. I actually liked the musical choice. Even played it several times as I prepared to do battle one more time down to the bike shop. Music is never noise. Well Hip Hop and Pat Boone are. But all other music is okay.

I was referring to anything that passes for communication, information, policy statements, and so called news in general that is spewed onto our landscape out of DC or any media claiming to be in the know.

I was wondering why you have not treated us to some good polka music. If memory serves, Polka is still popular in Cleveland.

tengrain, Diner's Club, Player's Club Gold Card, a human skull. Even Discover!

susan, it doesn't even provide moments of cheap comedy on most days.

SWA, words are liars. Blood-spattered corpses are the true literature. But it was good to hear about the continued rehab of Chimpy.

tom, but he was French, thus a socialist.

liberality, I never kid.

I'm kidding.

BB, he ran for the office of pretzeldent, and continued, unsurprisingly, a whole fuckload of Chimpy-era garbage. No sympathy from me.

lisa, I thought "iniquity" would have sounded too classy for this blog.

ricky, stop making so much noise.

mrmacrum, I knew what you meant, I simply believe I misunderestimated my ability to snark successfully on the internets.

You're right, some Weird Al polka medleys need to grace this place.

But not even Pat Boone's metal album?
