Get your party gown and get your pigtail down
And get your heart beatin' baby
Got my timin' right I got my act all tight
It's gotta be tonight, my little school babe
Your momma says you don't
And your daddy says you won't
And I'm burnin' up inside
Ain't no way I'm gonna lose out this time [yeah, right]
Tie your mother down
Tie your mother down
Lock your daddy outdoors
I don't need him nosin' around
Tie your mother down
Tie your mother down
Give me* all your love tonight!
Man, I can't wait for this fucking thing to be over.
"Not me!"
*Yeah, I suffer from temporary delusions. What's it to you?

Ahhhhh! There's nothing like starting off my morning with Queen! I have this on my Ipod, in fact I listen to a lot of Queen when I'm out running. Fat Bottom Girls is my favorite, though.
And speaking of running...I've gotta run.
Thanks for the video, kiddo. Have a great day. :-)

*Yeah, I suffer from temporary delusions.--
All my delusions are permanent. They cause no suffering; I have learned to embrace them as I once embraced 'Green Acres' re-runs.
ok. The nun's gotta go running...I gotta go biking. There is a spot about ten miles up the river where you can watch the carp spawn......I love fucking fish.
ciao.
Temporary delusions? I've been told many times I have no foot hold in reality. I really freak people out when I respond "Thank God for small favors!"
Kids and wife screaming my name but once I get them pacified I'm adding you to my blog roll.
Interesting way for me to start my Saturday morning.
I'm hungry. Hungry for this f'ing thing to be over.
clever, clever boy.
ME, everyone loves Queen. And if not, well, we know people who know people.
"You run?"
"Only when chased."
okjimm, why did you have to impart the Green Acres theme upon the day? Now I'm going to have to go fishing while drunk or something to get rid of it!
beach bum, reality has proven to be quite overrated. Or at least annoying enough to conveniently ignore. Thanks, and I will return the favor.
FOT, in due time. Like August, knowing these jokers.
JNNR, only every other weekend.
Green acres is the place for me.
Farm living is the life for me.
Land spreading out so far and wide.
Keep Manhattan - just give me that countryside.
No, New York is where I'd rather stay.
I get allergic smelling hay.
I just adore a penthouse view.
Darling, I love you but give me Park Avenue.
The chores
The stores!
Fresh air
Times Square!
You are my wife.
Good bye...city life.
Green Acres....we are there!!
Kinda like 'water-boarding' without the liquid.
Seventies Flashback! Cool.
McCain, temporary delusions? OMG, who'da thunk it?
I can't wait for it to be over as well. People ask me almost daily what I think about what so-and-so recently said, yada, yada, yada. I don't know. What did they say and what does it matter? I am sometimes made to feel that I am such an uninformed voter for not following the candidates every breath so closely.
I tell them where I get my reliable political news... right here, baby! :) And entertaining lyrics, captions, and ridiculous photos to boot?! Genius.
You gotta warn people if your going to link to Kucinich! Everything else was website, website, article, wikipedia, DENNIS(ahhh)...
okjimm, you bastard. Work means no tunes for over two more hours to wash that filth out of my skull. Go bike some more.
tom, that's such a ridiculously classic song. Actually, I was referring to myself and the delusion of a Kucinich presidency. ;-)
b, that's right! Who needs in-depth commentary based on page after page of time-consuming research? Goofy pictures and rock and roll tell more than an army of facts ever could.
See? The last 7+ years taught me well. Cognitive dissonance is the way to go! ;-)
bradda, I should have linked to his better half instead!
ok. went biking. new song.
the cartilage in the knee
goes click, click, click
click, click, click...
the cartilage in the knee
goes click, click, click
all through the town...
god, i love ice packs and beer.
It's not over yet for many a month.
I don't know why this campaign feels so long to me, even though I am firmly positioned in it...
Maybe I've gotten used to the French system of a two or three month presidential campaign!
Then again, look where that got us here!
that was Queen??? man... thought it was a spinal tap tribute band. what a let down. great post though - really got the thinker working... something i was trying to avoid this weekend.
well, get it away from me... i hate popcorn... i can't stand popcorn!
Sorry man. But I won't let you ruin this Queen song for me. Thanks for the Saturday song.
Hooray for cognitive dissonance!! That's a club I happily belong to! That sweet paradox! :)
And believe me, there is substance to the rock and roll and goofy pictures you post. More substance than that nauseating newsy/editorial political shit out there.
Oh take me take me take me
To the dreamer's ball
I'll be right on time and I'll dress so fine
You're gonna love me when you see me
I won't have to worry
Take me take me
Promise
'Till it's morning
It's all been true.
There's no other country on earth where election campaigns last so long and with so little result. As McClellan said, 'Nowadays in Washington it's a permanent campaign'. It's pretty obvious there's been no time for policy.
I miss Dennis and his wife.
I miss his wife.
But my aim is improving...
J/K, it's my Little Head getting the best of me...
Queen was hands down the best band of their era, from Bicycle to We Will Rock You. And that guitar player was the hottest thing since Jimmy Page's pout - no wonder Freddy done him!
Here's an exercise for all you political types: Look at this picture of John M.
Now picture him naked.
Now imagine him running THE WHOLE WORLD.
Sweet dreams, my friends ;)
okjimm--
There is a spot about ten miles up the river where you can watch the carp spawn......I love fucking fish.
Holy shit..you fuck fish? How do you do that? That's just sick, must be a Cheese-head thing.
:-D
ZING!
okjimm, I get enough clicking in my knuckles when I turn the page of a book.
betty, proof that even shorter campaigns don't always produce the desired result. What's his approval rating down to, the 30s, isn't it? At least he can say "je ne suis pas Bush !"
kreplech, yeah, sorry about that whole 'let's use our brain' thing. But I think I made up for it today!
spartacus, just ignore everything below the video and rock out.
b, with that support, why I might switch to posting videos 100% of the time! ;-)
susan, now that's just crazy talk. If we spend all our time on policy that can help people and make the world a better place, then we'll have no time to dissect soundbites and such to the last detail and beyond to details that aren't even there!
liberality, me too. I'm glad I'll at least get another shot at voting for the dude in a couple of years.
TCR, you know, I'm not a fan of thought or word crimes, but after that comment, I might have to change my stance. ;-)
ME, he could have said "fucking nuns," but wanted to be polite. ;-)
FOT, ZONG! Zing Zong, long lost cousin of King Kong from the Czech Republic?
//Holy shit..you fuck fish//
only with abundant tartar sauce. I have standards.
I gave up on nuns; all that 'oh,god, oh,god' stuff got distracting.
Fish fuckers of the world, unite!!!
