The Good, the Bad and the Ugly 8

The Good: What an exhilarating, nail-biting Kardiac Event. THREE wins in a row! Though luckily, there was more of Kellen soft-shoeing than Braylon forgetting his lines during The Edwards/Winslow Show, Derek Anderson played like a Pro Bowler and Jamal Lewis may not have run for many yards, but he ran hard. As for the o-line? Wow. Manly Men of Manliness. Almost Rudy! level at times.

The Bad: What an exhilarating, nail-biting Kardiac Event. The pass defense often resembled a sieve, the special teams were very, very special on a missed XP and olé-ing on 752 tackle attempts on the Nate Burleson TD punt return.

The Ugly: One play the defense was the 1985 Bears, the next, the 1981 Colts. At least they weren’t the latter, as they’ve so often been this year.

Up next: at those beer-drinking, dirt-ass, ironworkin' Steelers. BOO! BOO!
I FUCKING SAID BOO!

Yawn. I spit upon the Cowboys. Go Packers! :)

I guess I should be rooting for the Bears, but that would mean I would be taking a stance on football. On second thought, I choose indifference.

Can a New York team win at football for once?

I'm a Broncos fan.

la belette rouge, that's perfectly fine. Better that evil franchises receive fewer good vibes than they otherwise would've.

frederick, you guys did in 1986 and 1990. and tomcat, you guys did in 1997 and 1998. I have no sympathy for any of you!

Bah! What do those others know about being sports fans! There's a certain masochism in being a Cleveland sports fan - - we revel in our eternal hope for a championship; and wallow in the bitter disappointment of yet another heartbreaking loss.

1954. That's how long since we won a championship. 1954.

By the way, Randal - - I'm adding you to my blog roll brother!

But this is the year! I can feel it! Go Browns! (I say - as I've said every year since I was old enough to understand the wonder that is the Kardiac Kids. Sigh.)

Thanks for the add! And you're right; I wonder how we'd handle winning something since it seems to be in our DNA to suffer torment year after year. In a way, the depression and melancholy is familiar, comforting. But I tell ya, looking at the schedule, the playoffs for the Browns could be a reality this year!
