Nyuk! Nyuk! Nyuk!

"Hello!"
"Hello!"
"Guten tag, you're it. Wait, wrong line, heh, heh."

With a handshake, leaders of the United States, Israel and the Palestinians agreed on Tuesday to immediately launch peace talks with the goal of reaching a final accord by the end of 2008.
Just in time for the final stages of our permanent presence in the region bringing the troops back home! Yeah! USA! USA! USA!
Bush, making his deepest foray into Middle East peacemaking with only 14 months left in office, held talks with Olmert and Abbas before addressing the high-stakes conference, which included diplomats from Syria and Saudi Arabia and 12 other Arab states.

Bush said the purpose at the waterfront campus of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis was not to conclude an accord, but instead to launch negotiations between the Israelis and Palestinians.
That's deep? Linda Lovelace would be so disappointed in you, Mr. President.
In his speech, he argued now is the time to pursue an agreement because Palestinians and Israelis have leaders determined to achieve peace and because "we must not cede victory to the extremists" in the Middle East.

Yes. We must not.

Oops. Too late.

I think Bush's handlers are pushing this "peace talks" crap on us to steer the perception away from their previous "I'm a war president" spin. That isn't working, so they're doing a 180. That's probably all there is to it. What a waste.

Did you see the photo-op with Bush today? He did this weird thing when he was standing between Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. While posing for this joke of a handshake, he got right in their faces-I mean, almost nose to nose and cocked his head like a little puppy while trying to make small talk. It was the funniest thing I ever saw. Bush is such an idiot!

I agree with Candace, this was nothing more than spin.

Peace talks? Feh!

This is some bizarre posturing and if anything it will fuck it all up even more.

And what the feck was up with Cheney's so called heart problem today?

Such timing.

And the Israelis and Palestinians negotiating????

With their two weak leaders that should be great.

Candace, Mary Ellen, FranIAm, It seems that you all harbor a distrust of this president, his administration, and other world leaders. I'm shocked, because look at all we, and others, such as Musharraf, have done to foster peace in the Middle East. This is merely the penultimate step before the final act of signing long-term accords, and ending centuries-old conflict. Sieg Heil, Der Leader!

This was a last ditch effort to save president bunny pants fu*king legacy. Pathetic.

He was holding those guys hands like a mother holding her kids hands as she gleefully enters Disneyland with them.

You know he isn't very familiar with their damned names since he didn't even know how to pronouce them.

Now Karl Rove is saying that president bunny pants didn't want to invade Iraq when we did, it was congress who pushed it. How freakin' dumb does he think we are?

Randal Graves said...

Now that is some funny shit.

"I didn't want to invade. See, I'm all about peace, stretch. Heh, heh. The Democrat Party, they wanted that oil. I told them, I'm a uniter not a divider, but what can you do. Congress has all the power. Heh, heh."

I had a slightly moer sinsister take on it. Bush is promoting war and calling it peace.

I heard he spent an entire three hours at the conference.

Now that's exhausting. I hope he went home for an icy cold Miller beer.

You missed the best part. Abbas is his 'shill' in the region. Meantime, the duly elected government is having even further encroachment on its territory : something even the UN has spoken up against.
