I second what everyone said. And watching the local news - which is still where a lot of people get informed, I was disturbed by how this wasn't talked about more. It's very easy to picture a colossal array of dominoes, and a huge section just got knocked down by the single piece of Bhutto's assassination.
You totally pegged it, Randal. All the idiot pundits didn't even waste time expressing some semblance of humanity and sorrow and outrage at the tragedy--they were too busy spewing shit about who'd benefit the most from it. Assholes.
I can't even watch the news programs or the talking hairpiece roundtables on Sunday anymore. Too easy to get frustrated, you know?
