Refuse/Resist

Now that's my kind of protest song.
Sorry, Country Joe, you just don't crack enough skull.

Any Democratic congressfuckers and/or congressional aides not affiliated with Chris Dodd nor those who voted for democracy that are just passing by, listen to it again.

No, one more time.

No, that's not enough.

Again.

Fucking cowards.

Whew, kinda early in the morning to hear that but I do appreciate the message. Sen. Russ Feingold has been trying forever to make a change but the slugs wouldn't listen to him. He was the only one who didn't vote for the patriot act. Smart man! He said he didn't vote for it because he read it and didn't like what it said.

I like the video with the sound off. I'm with TomCat...I'll stick with Dylan.

Tomcat, I like the old stuff, but you know how us young people are. :)

Colleen, I know, I'm usually so reserved.

POP, you'd think THAT would've caught the eye of all the Dems, no? Hmm, bill we're not sure about, but he read it, doesn't like it. Maybe we should pay a little bit more attention to what comes from the administration. Oops, sorry, I have to meet with a lobbyist from a telecom company.

ME, Dylan is great, but us angry nihilists need our deafening power chords.

The chords I like.

It's the monster truck singing that I wonder about...?

When one is angry, one sings angry. At least I would, if I could sing.

Great video. As much as I like Country Joe and Dylan and all those '60s performers (since that's my generation), they're not as relevant today.

For one thing this is a much more angry time, and heavy metal reflects that.

There's an anti-war demonstration here every Saturday afternoon. And there's always a boombox playing Bob Dylan or Neil Young. This just adds to the rightwing stereotype that the only people against Bush and Iraqmire are '60s burnouts and aging hippies.

Besides Sepultura -- Slayer, Ministry and KMFDM all have songs with anti-war lyrics. We need everybody we can get.

Tom, that's how I look at it. Fuck, I love that old stuff - not to sound like I'm only some punkass teenager - but I grew up in the late 70s/early 80s, during Reagan and all that lovely nukyular crap and one needs a bit more venom when it comes to the anger.

Wow- that is normally not my thing, but under the circumstances and with the message, I am with that today.

No more fooling around- the message AND the action must be clear.

And that was.

For a kid you are not half bad Randal Graves...

How I kid, how I kid!!

Absofuckinglutely. And thanks Fran, can I play outside, pretty please? I cleaned my room, really I did!

Wow, man. That took me back a few decades. So kids are listening to this now? Kewl. They will need that righteous anger and spirit of rebellion much more than we did, I'm afraid.

Oh, and great concert, too - reminds me of The Who back when Keith Moon was still alive. Sigh.

That's cool, Randal. When I was young it was the same way.
